Archived vp or no?

99' in sig was having some dead ped issues after new accel cable replacement. I checked the apps first it was out rest that to . 521. In the process set a code for the apps which turned on the check engine light. when I went to rest it also had an injector timing code. the truck has run good for a week and today when I shut it off in a drivethru it whouldnt start right away after several tries it did but when i put it in gear (D) it would die. there is still no check engine light. if the vp is done would it restart? would it turn the light on? could it be any thing else? cps? I got it to work this morn but am afraid she will not make it home in the morn.

Can you pull the codes from the ECM? Which one's are they? Post them on here and we'll see if we can help.

No I cant get the codes. Its sittin in the lot @ work and I am still at work. talked to some people today and they had the exact same symptoms when ther vp died#@$%! I hope that I can get it home tomar then fresh vp on mon. what is a good price? where can I get a puller for timing gear?

tj I am outside milwaukee Wi the truck was downtown milwaukee. Got It to start in the morning got it most of the way home. the last 8 miles were assisted by a 97' jeep cherokee man did that look backwards funny. getting a new pump this morning. what fails on these things? it must be electrical cuz it would die if I put in gear from idle but if I got it above the 1200 RPM and it in gear it would work norm. Any advise on pumps ?I know this has been beat to death but it sucks to replace something for 1200$ and not get mor go out of it! that was my turbo fund #@$%! thanks all again for you help!
