Anyone ever play with the delivery valves inside their VP pump?

It makes a sweet jump in power on the P-Pumps... ... and I figured the same would be true on the VP pump.

(I posted a nearly identical thread in the 1st Gen forum..... so all you rotary pump guys, including myself, can get in on the action!)

Matt,

Did you buy another truck?

Thanks MAtt. Wow, that does look a lot like a DV in a P7100. Even though this does not apply to me at all I am interested to hear what has to be said. It sure seems like someone would have played around with this.

tell ya what... if anyone has a thrashed VP out there, that you'd be willing to sacrifice for the sake of power, maybe we could modify the head / valves / poppets and transplant them onto a working VP, that way you keep the working parts working (in case the modifications don't go as planned).

Maybe I could raid the local salvage yards. Give me a few days to see what I can come up with.

Dern it Matt, now you got me started again! :-laf :D
