Im buying a vp44 and the bosch distributer wants my old vp44. It kinda an or else thing. Ive called around and nobody else wants it. Why? I have the option of buying one online but my truck wont be getting fixed for another week even if I pay second day air to Alaska. Rock and a hard place. I want my truck back do I screw around with trying to keep my broken vp44?

Screw it I get it back in 3 hours but Im disgruntled about the core. I called and argued with him he wont let me keep it without charging me a core charge( this is a brand new pump Im buying not a rebuild). Ive used this guy for all of my upgrades and Im telling you he has given me very good prices and service to date. This is Alaska and he has everything in stock, that is very rare up here.

Sidenote: I ordered some rancho 9000s about two weeks ago and the damn truck drove off the roak in washington trying to avoid a deer. Shucks I usually just give it a little more throttle.

Under 1300? called piers told em i was a tdr member and he quoted me 1350 spoke to AL. I paid 1400 because we are nowhere near the mainland and its expensive to ship anyways. the truck was already dismantled at cummins and i wanted it back pronto. No i got completely stroked out of my old one. If I had known what was going to happen I would have gotten one from Piers last week.

I believe he is willing to pay for expired pumps for anyone with a large paper weight hanging around. A contribution to future bombs and a little back from the expense of your new pump.

Bosch shop around the cornor was willing to sell me a new one for $1275 if I needed it. New.

Piers' price shows to be $1350 on his website. New.

Even cheaper here : US Diesel Parts $1153. 25 not sure if its reman or new.

I understand bout the I need it now factor tho.

If im not mistaken I saw the us diesel and called them. I was quoted 1475. I was quoted 900 for a reman at my bosch shop. I made alot of phone calls and was only able to locate a few pumps. Getting a little scarce. If someone says they have it ask them to show you cause lots of em just have em on order. I think that their intention is to get your money and hope the order comes soon. Call piers ask em how many are on the shelves and the last time they received any new ones. Im curious.

He showed me a dead vp44 that was running something like 5500 psi. I didnt realise it was possible to mess em up that bad. that thing was hammered. Different application.

I dont think that the remans are going to be that price for long. Seems impractically low. It costs the same as a new one if you figure in the core cost.
