When I left my buddies place the truck cranked for at least 5 seconds before starting. At the next stop I had a dead gas pedal for a split second. Then as I was accelerating out of town she quit, dead as a doornail. No 216 but I'm sure it is my pump. :{

Warranty is one year unlimited mileage. If you tap the wire the pump itself is warrantied but the electronics are not.

Doug,

Also in the market for a pump. Is it true that you can gain 50-100 hp with the hot rod pump? Can I expect the same life between the stock and hot rod?

Or is it better to buy a stock pump and do an injector change?

Chris

Chris,

I have not yet been able to do "back to back" dyno runs to evaluate the HP gains... . II states that the pump will yeild 50-100 HP over a stock pump depending on the trucks configuration. I am not sure if this number is to peak HP or somewhere within the curve. As for longevity the II pump is pretty new but so far we have had no failures out of our shop.

I can say that the pumps work great and I have lots of satisfied customers! Would it be better to do a stock pump + injectors, well how much HP are you wanting? There are many ways to get to a HP goal, let me know what you want and how you use your truck and I will be happy to make recommendations.

Doug,

Well I put about 30k miles a year and tow up to 10k on occasion.

Currently run an EZ, truck boosts 35psi, K&N air filter, a Goerend converter and valve body kit. Truck runs pretty good now and i definitely like the fuel mileage at 20+ mpg highway. I am anticipating the trans upgrade in the spring so i am not affraid to to start making some power as long as i dont stray to far with the mileage.

Let me know what you think.

Chris
