First VP44 at 60k. Second VP44 at 99k. Attempting to find hout how long a Hod Rod vp44 will last. I tapped the first VP44 with less than 1k on the clock, and all successive pumps were tapped upon installation.

A few years into the 2nd gen trucks debute, I was talking to a mechanic about transmission failures (autos) and he said everyone of the ones they were getting in had a snowplow on it from day one and that it seemed if you broke the truck in good before hanging a plow on it and working the transmission then the transmission would last longer. Maybe it's the same with the VP's

After changing out well over 150 injection pumps on the 98-2002's,I can say that the 02ho's fail at the lowest miles Dsl duo's bieng one of them at a very low miles. (under 3/36 if I remember right). I have to give the 98/99's the record for highest volume.
