Attention: TDR Forum Junkies 
I just got back from a John Deere Engine class, covering new JD engines. . and guess what pump we are going start using in some of our tractors. . 4. 5L and 6. 8L... Yup the VP44.
I checked out the fuel lines and the supply pump. NO bango bolts, just good old elbow and braided lines. I'll see if I can take some pics this week. I'm thinking of looking to see if th lines will fit on the truck, but the engine will not be out on the market for a few more months, so it will be a while before I can find a parts break down. The transfer/supply pump is mounted on the fuel filter housing, kind of a wierd set up. The system has a fuel psi sensor after the supply pump. The ECM controls the Pulse Width Modulated signal to the suppy pump. It can vary the supply psi accourding to the need of the VP pump by controlling the signal to the suppy pump. (How true this is, I do not know. )
We ran the engine, and hooked it up to the computer. Hooked to the computer U can do a miss fire test, and a relative compression test. (Basically a comparision between cylinders. ) I was told that the software is easily available, I am trying to get a copy, but the interface to match the engine in the trucks will probably be imposible to get.
I just don't understand why the dodge dealers to not have the ability to do these test, but then I might not be in the ECM that the truck use, be cause these test are part of our ECU's. . Well, I will fill U guys in on more info when I get it... Just thought this was worth sharing...

Small victory for those (me) who recommend eliminating the banjos and the dinky solid oem fuel lines in favor of larger(3/8's) lines and swept 90*'s.
