Looking for best stock pump with best warr. fair price. Blue chip, Thourbred diesel ect! dont really want someone elses problems with a inj. pump does anyone have any recommendations thanks Mike

Can't go wrong with Blue Chip. I was told by a friend that talked to Thoroughbred that they bench their ECMs and reuse them on their reman pumps if they pass the test. To me thats no good, you are getting a used ECM with unknown mileage. If your considering using them it would be a good idea to confirm that before you order one. Who ever you go with specifically ask the question of whether or not they use new electronics on their VPs. New is the only way to go.

Central Motive Power in Denver CO. Bosch warranty and rebuild center - 3 calibration benches. Supplies most of the dealers in the area. I worked there for a few years, never had a problem or return on their pumps (running one on my Dodge).

Thanks for all the input Ive found Industrial inj they rebuild Bosch pumps and all are updated with the latest parts and all receive a new comp. for half the price of blue chip 1195. you just have to pay for the core up front

I really like Chip having dealt with him in the past.
That said, as long as you get a new computer and a decent warranty from a company who will stand behind it, you should be fine for many miles.
Also, now is a good time to verify your low pressure fuel system.

talked tp thourbred diesel and the guy told me they were not a certified bosh rebuilder and the same about the comp 10 heat cycles its good

your exactly right good prod good warranty new computer I spent 6 hours yesterday calling and searching the webb to make a decision now im saving my milk money will also be installing a new filter/pump system not sure about that now guess another webb session is in order

I am pretty sure Industrial injection uses reman ECMs rather than use new ones. That is most likely where the price difference is . Still better than the alternative of used.

I like Blue Chip but since moving to IN I am only 20 miles from Scheid Diesel, so I called them about their VP44's & they also completely rebuild the pump & they also only put on a new computer. I had them do some work on the pump on my 92 & they did a good job. no complaints.

I am not a diesel mechanic with that being said I am ASE Certified GM tech (gas) While antisipating spending 1200.00+on a new inj.system to solve my dead pedal issue. I started trying to diag my truck yesterday and found the comp. elec.conn.to be less than satisfactory when i pulled the conn. off the pump, there was no resistance at all! I then took calipers and measured the pins VS the holes and found the holes to be .095 and the pins to be .093 where I come from this should be opposite for a snug conn.,possibly the cause of (1) overheating the comp.(2) loosing conn.when comp.gets hot (12 volt ref from ECM) so I slightly angled the pins keeping core charge in mind test drove the truck about 20 miles and lo and behold no problem (YET) will know for sure in a week. Will repost results Mike

The nice thing about Chip is that he is real good about helping you out when you run into a problem. I suppose Scheid Diesel will also help you also.

No I thought I would do a little digging into the prob. first I dont want to spend 1200.00+ without being sure! Dont know if its fixed or not Im giving it a week before I declare it good, already got 40 miles today and still good.

It states on the first page of the Industrial Inj. website New computer on all Bosch VP44 pumps. that and the price is the reason for choosing them, that and being a certified bosch rebuilder.I found that most secondary outlets that handle these pumps add at least 1000.00 to the price and both are charging for the core. For example Autozone, advance sell Cardone brand 2300.00 looked up on webb from Cardone the same pump is 1150.00 400.00 core charge the core charge at Autozone and Advance is 500.00. I wouldnt consider buying one of these pumps was just checking. As everyone already knows its all about Money,What can I not do and make the most $$$$$

I can only hope Im right will save a lot of people a lot of money that cant afford to drop 3K! I have been diagnosing problem cars for a long time and I usually figure out the cause. My prob was Intermittent. Comp Soldering joints didnt sound right for my issues so I started looking deeper
