Think that is the same part # as the VP I just put on my truck, (its pouring down rain or i would go check). What they told me is in late 2000 early 2001 there was a switch from a crank sensor to a cam sensor and it is a different pump. Dont know how true this is had a pump from a early 2000 truck and they look the same so must be internal, (holeshotholset should be able to answer this). Price was the same on both pumps but they said the one in question was a restricted part whatever that means. The core was 200. 00 less than the other pump.

where is the Boshc p/n?

I've just looked at my VP44. Maybe it's a rebuild that was put on prior to me getting the truck. I found three numbers on it using a mirror and flashlight. None of them even come close to the 04705060xx Bosch part number. Any idea where I should look?

Woodrat, thanks for the reply. I don't think the pump I had in mind will work on my truck (ends in 15). I suspect that I should have one that ends with 11.

uncle jack

just call a local dealer and give them your VIN# they will be able to tell you which pump you need and if you can use the one you have.

Lost it on the interstate racing a ricer. LOL the good thing was i beat him and he got off right before the pump went down. Caled the wrecker and told them to get me off the road before someone seen me. Luckly it was like 9am on a sunday moring. you guys going to muncie this year??

the 015 pump came on a 2000 SO dodge. It has not been updated, if your looking for a pump get either the 027 for SO or the 028 for the HO. If someone is trying to sell you a 015 it is either old stock or a pulloff since that number pump has been superceded to a 027. (0-470-506-027)

The 011 will be stamped on the pump for a 98. 5,but that will not be the number to order it with from D/C. The last pump I ordered from Bosch also used different numbers.

Bob

015 will fit on or i should say work on any so application. 027 is the latest model # however the 027 is the least realiable pump due to the brass bushed timing advance bore. here is a quick list of suppersessions sorry if i miss 1 or 2 not at work and dont have my list in front of me.

STANDARD OUTPUT: 0470506005 S/S TO

0470506011 S/S TO

0470506015 S/S TO

0470506027

ONLY INSTALL AN 027 IF IT HAS A NEW HOUSING, IDENTIFIED BY A NEW NAME TAG ON THE PUMP HOUSING, IF IT HAS A BOSCH FACTORY STAMPING IT WILL FAIL WITHIN 50K OR SOONER UPON OUR EXPERIANCES. GOOD LUCK AND EMAIL WITH ANY ?
