Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) vp44 parts

My 01 gets a injector timeing error. It has for some time but is getting worse. :{Can I change the board in it? Are there differnt ones? I was hopping to find a bad pump to get parts from.

Is it the one where the VP-44 can't acheive commanded timing?If so it's probably the timing piston hanging in its bore, due to galling of the piston surface, or low internal vane pump pressure. This is my guess, if it's correct, a new board will do you no good.

I cant remember the exact code. I used to clear it and it would stay off for awhile but not any more. It has been setting it off for 20k or so. It still runns good but I am sure that will change some time. The pump has replaced at 36k And I now have 96 k on it.

Just had mine into the dealer today, Ordering a new pump. Code P0216, dead throttle.
