I agree that the pump needs more weight to keep you in your

favorite spot. I talked to dan today he has the real fix for a 24 v,

a p pump kit that is priced well. I plan on buying a few!

Well, since I traded the 98 last week after the transmission failure, the pump experiment is over. Here is what I CAN tell you.



There was a small increase in economy (1 maybe 2 mpg). Power up 28hp and 86 tq. A little less off idle tq and a little more smoke. EGT's went up about 50 degrees and boost went up about 2 psi. This with 275's and a EZ.



This was a 17X pump, or in other words a HO pump on a SO. From the test we did, the HO pump will not make a difference on 2001 or 2002 trucks but does on 1998-2000 trucks.



We did this test at Blue Chip too, and we saw 14hp gain and 74tq. This truck was running a Blue Chip box.
