I just got done relocating my lift pump. .

Anyhow, I was routing lines, etc and I see the return line comes from the VP44, goes into a "T" and one line goes up to the back of the block, and the other end goes down toward the fuel tank.

I was just wondering what that line going up the the engine is for?

(BTW I've had this truck for almost a year and this is the first time I noticed that  )

Injector Return

the one you are looking at is a return line off the rear of the head.

Nate, It is the return line off of the injectors. When the pintle in the injector closes, a small "Sprut" of fuel is left behind, and it needs to get back to the tank. So the line of off the back of the head serves that purpose. Moose

After the T (one side is the VP return line, one side is the injector return line), the output return line is routed back to the tank.

I re routed mine through fuel coolers and dumped it into the tank filler vent line so it is cooled and mixes with the entire tank and "hot fuel" is not just dumped right back into the fuel cannister where "cooling" fuel is picked up.
