I just had some warranty work done, my lift pump was replaced. I have read that there usually aren't any wanring signs when the lift pump is going bad. I had a few warning signs (bit of a dead pedal after gradual deceleration, sputter when cold, slight decrease in fuel economy). Since I don't know how long the lift pump has been bad, nor does the dealer, should I expect the VP44 to fail soon? They said it was in good shape and working correctly, but I don't know how much, if any, damage has been done.

Thanks in advance

I've got a p1693 code, which is the same companion code I got before I took it to AutoZone, where I got a p0216. Is that code still showing up because there is still a problem, or does it need to be reset to be sure?

One real quick, off subject, questions for anyone that is looking... Can I use and Edge EZ for a 2001 truck on my 2002? Is anything different? And if so, is there a way that I can make it work?

Ok, it was a few quick questions...

What is the boost elbow that comes with it and what does it look like? Small brass 90* fitting of some sort???

Thanks again...

First off, get the dealer or someone to clear the codes on the puter. That way you know where you stand, if the codes are being reset.

Second, yes a 01 EZ will work on a 02, but you have to buy the adapter form www.edgeproducts.com for approx: 35-38 Dollars

Third, the elbow can be used, as it gains you around 10-12 lbs of boost over stock. If that is needed too, once again , call Edge for assistance.
