1) Is there a Heavy Duty VP44 replacement available?

2) Who is the best vendor to order a replacement VP44 from? I would like a quality unit at a good price.

3) Should I replace and upgrade the Lift Pump while replacing the VP44. If so, please recommend a HD replacement and vendor...

Thanks

I got my fass from Jannetty which I would highly recomend you use in place of the lift pump. I got my injection pump from Piers. Installing it this weekend. I will let you know how it works out. It will probably be to late to help. I do recommend you talk to Piers. He has access to new stock pumps, rebulit, and high output. He will help you even if he doesn't sell you a pump.

Thanks, I am getting fed up with beating my head against the warranty wall , Banks says call Dodge, Dodge says call Banks.

I reckon that if I can get a fuel supply setup that is higher quality / has better power output, I can look at the replacement of the VP44 as an "upgrade" rather than a "repair".

I don't mind paying for more performance, but getting screwed out of a warranty ticks me off.

I won't lose any sleep over it if I can convince myself it was to trick out my truck.

Thanks

Stuart,

Absolutely no flame intended, but remember the BOMBer's mantra - I am my own warranty station. Once we decide to start down the BOMBing path, we have to be prepared to pay for any "breakage" we might encounter along the way. :(

This was my thought process exactly. It is anonther upgrade and not a repair. Even makes it exciting that way..... more power yehaa.

And yes I am my own warranty station. I wouldn't trust half the mechanics out there anyway. The last time they worked on my truck they dented in the condensor fins. Gave it back to me with the check engine light on and said don't worrry about it will go away. (I did say half, I know there are good mechanics out there. They give advise on this forum all the time. ) Before anyone raises the bull**** flag it was not a dealer. It was a place that put in my RV injectors. At the time I did not have time.
