have 3. 73 rear gears. only have fuel pressure gauge. didn't think I needed others with stock truck until now. I actually just ordered boost and pyro tonight. tires are 285/75/16. I have a GFS-391 fuel pump. I haven't dropped below 10psi
Look in your glovebox, there is a label that will let you know what gears you have.
Look in your glovebox, there is a label that will let you know what gears you have. If that doesn't work, what RPMs are you running at 70 mph? 3. 55s will be about 2000 RPMs, 4. 10s will be between 2100-2200. 285 tires will lower these RPMs about 50...
I definitely have 3. 56s I know 4. 10s can pull more weight but I'm only pulling 8000lbs... will this really make that much difference pulling this weight... it's just over half the weight this machine is supposed to be able to tow.
While pulling the load listed I think it accelerates fine and even can maintain a constant speed of 40mph up a hill. As soon as I cross over the 45mph mark all of sudden the truck starts losing power. I can gain speed up to 65 on flat ground wot but as soon as any hill or slight grade comes it will lose speed quickly until it reach 40mph or so and then feel strong again...
