Are vp44s still available new? If not who is reworking them? I went to the pdr site and they said something about 011s instead of the vp44. What are 011s?
To the best of my knowledge Bosh is the only one remaning the VP44 I have asked several "pump" shops and they say they can sell remans but can't get parts to rebuild them, themselves. I put one on a medium duty yesterday to the toon of $1131. 00 plus core charge. The first one I put on was only $850. 00 plus core and that was a couple of years ago so the price is going up.
I think the 011 is just the PDR's part number for the pump.
I have an 011 pump. Its a Bosch number stamped on the pump. When HO's came out, or maybe it was a design change, they started using 027 for normal ones and 028 for the HO versions... I think. I just think the 011's were the early models of the VP44. Rebuilt they should be the same as the 027. ???
I have one of the very first vp44s to hit the street( uhh well I did a few pumps back). I remember the bosch man calling it a 27. The piers websit charges 1750 for the 011 and says it was changed to 027 parameters.
