What does a W250 and W350 club cab weigh?

I though there was a previous post on this, but I couldn't find one. Just curious.

Thanks!

Terry,

I just did a search and got a couple of responses. There was a post by Bushwaker on 5/7/02 and one guy said his W250 was right at 6500#. My D250 completly empty was 5600 and with some fuel and goodies at the race track was 6200 without me in it. Your W250 has a little more weight in the front with the differental up there.

To do a search for this, put "weight" in the block and search the first gen section. Enter 1 month ago and newer for a date and then hit search.

Terry,

My 92 4x4,5spd, reg cab, with cab height canopy, trailer hitch, spare tire, half tank of fuel with out driver weighs in at 6150 lbs.

The W-250 I had weighed 5810lbs. with no passengers and a full fuel tank. It's interesting to see the difference in what everyone's truck weighs because of tool boxes, bumpers, etc. It seems like some people have so many add-ons that they are almost at GVWR all the time (which wouldn't leave much room for a camper or anything). I'm also interested in what kind of difference the club cab makes.

Thanks guys!

Terry, my truck is a 93 W350 Club Cab. When I left the dump the other day the empty scale weight was 7300 lbs. This was with me, my friend, and his daughter in the truck and 2/3 tank of fuel. I also have a bunch of other GVW killers such as: oversize tires, spare tire, running boards, bed rails, bed mat, custom HD rear bumper and 3 point hitch, toneau cover, lund visor, etc. etc. Although I can still throw a camper in the rear and be just fine. :)

That is where having a dually makes all the difference.

Hope that helps, Ken

Ken,

What size tires are you running?

You're right, if I was going to buy a slide-in camper I'd get a dually. Do you use that as your daily driver?

Terry, 235/85/16's. About the largest you can go without rubbing in the rear (and this is tire specific at that). My intention is to eventually get a camper for family trips, etc. All the research I did was pretty consistent in that if a camper in the plans a dually is pretty much a necessity. Lot's of folks get a 3/4 ton for a camper and have to learn the hard way that you will bust your Max GVW in a heart beat. I work at home so I am not out driving everyday but I do drive it around town on a regular basis.

w250 weight

I checked my truck weight on way out of dump too. It weighed 7080# with me in it. It is a Club Cab W250 LE. I have a bedliner, HD receiver hitch, automatic, 1080# factory option booster springs, 265/85?/16 tires and spare, transfer flow 45 gal aux tank with about 15 gals, about 10 gals in main tank, cab length running boards and the tools and I in the cab weighed about 350#.
