VE Injection Pump More Questions

Should have the new lift pump and gauges install on the wife's '01 completed next weekend. Then I can get back on my W350.

Where can the best prices on an Isspro R5503 tach be found? The other gauges R3607G pyro, R5623R turbo boost will come from Geno's, and the R5601 oil pressure gauge from e-bay.

I plan on making a gauge mount and replacing the message center with it using leds for the message center info. Will mount the message center board else where.

Another question is for those who have installed the NV5600 in their 1st gens.

How did you plug the backup light plug into the transmission? On this install the transfer case shift linkage is in the way of the plug.

I would also like to find a pair of bucket seats and console out of a CC or Ram Charger prefer gray. If anyone is parting a gray interior I have other trim parts needed and a rubber floor mat for a reg. cab.

Thanks.

Question about the Getrag: I know the NV5600 is a bigger, stouter transmission, but parts are getting hard to find for it, and the Getrag has proven itself capable of handling 1000ft-lbs of torque if used correctly. My point is, you will be $4-5000 in converting to the 6speed (unless you find a good deal on a used one), and though you will have a better transmission, is it really necessary? All the manuals that Dodge has put behind the Cummins have had their own share of issues. Just think of all the go-fast goodies and creature comforts you could have for that kind of coin. But, if you want it to have something different, and have the financial capability, then by all means, let us know how it turns out. I just dont think the Getrag is as bad as many claim it to be.

I got my gauges from Diesel Injection Service in Lubbock, TX, but they dont seem to carry ISSPRO anymore. Check out some of the links here and maybe elsewhere to check and compare prices and packages. Make sure you get everything you need when comparing prices. What seems like a good deal is often times the gauge only, no senders, et al, included.

you will have to let me know how the NV5600 works out for you, I have the 360GETRAG, and have been thinking of what to do when it goes.

I did not do the conversion, I bought off this site from a guy in Missouri who installed it.

I really like driving it but have no comparision to a Getrag. This truck is a better trailer puller than the '89 W250 auto it replaced. I sold the '89 last summer with 350,000 + on the clock to someone in Georgetown, IN. and he's still driving it. This W350LE has 198,000 on it. So I'm planning on doing some fix up to it.

I see. Sorry for the misunderstanding.

Where in MO did it come from, and how long ago? Or do you even know?

No miss understanding. If I could have found one closer to home with a getrag that would be the one I'd have.

This one came from Dunnegan,MO. I bought it home maybe a couple of years ago. It was in the TDR classifieds. I use it for my electrical buisness and to pull my Vermeer V450A trencher on a 20 ft PJ gooseneck trailer among other things.
