Wacky back-up lights

This post probably should be on the towing forum, but here goes;

My wife followed me to work this morning, and she said my back-up were doing some wacky stuff. When I hit my brakes, the back-up lights come on. When I use the turn signals, they flash.



The only mods I have made at this time are, added the mopar towing harness, and installed the Optima brake controller. I have not noticed any thing unusual when I have my 5th whl hooked up, the turn signals, and brake lights on the trailer seem to function correctly.



Of course we are leaving this afternoon on our first camping trip with the truck. And of course my wife said DO NOT TRY TO FIX THE TRUCK TONIGHT! :-{} She knows how I get.



The only thing that makes sense to me, is there is a problem in the factory wiring harness, any ideas?

Loose ground wire.........

Thats the first thing I would look for. Make lights do whacky things.
