My wait to start light only comes on for about 1 sec. in start and run , fass lift pump does the same till engine fires. The lift pump press.comes up when I first turn the the key to start than drops to 0. ,But engine starts and press.comes up to 17lb. and runs good.About 3 months ago I had my ecm go out .I sent it to AES in Florida and they supposedly installed new soft ware, I had to send it back twice before it would even communicate with the pcu or the VP44.After several threatening phone calls they sent it back and it would fire up and I could start the truck.I was happy just to get my truck running again so I didn't worry about the wait to start light
I didn't have that ecm reflashed ,could that be the problem with the wait to start light and lift pump power circuit?
I don't have any DTC 's

Wait to start light is temperature dependent and may not be low enough to even trigger the glow plugs. I'm guessing you don't have an issue there being in Arizona unless you are seeing some cold temps by chance?

Also the ecm does not trigger the lift pump relay until after you bump the starter. Simply turning the key to on will not activate the lift pump.

Thanks JR
Your right about the temps here in AZ.They are warm, and most qf the time my grid htrs don't come on.I guess if it ain't broke I won't fix it.
Thanks again
