Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Walbro with Vulcan kit

I just ordered the Vulcan Big Line kit, but was inquiring whether anyone has used the kit with a more reliable lift pump. Can a Walbro or Holley blue pump be spliced in with the wiring that comes with the kit?
