Did a search but came up empty. Doesn't walker make a muffler elimination pipe? Got a guy with a '95 that needs one. I called Walker technical assistance and it was about like Jnutter talking to DC #ad

Try www.genosgarage.com for the eliminator pipe.

I do not think putting an eliminator pipe in is worth the effort. The sound is not the greatest either. Here are some results in the order they were accomplished.

1. I removed the stock muffler and test drove the truck with just the resinator. The results were increased turbo whistle and one to one and a half pound gain in the turbo boost.

2. I bought a 4 inch to three inch adapter and also installed a piece of three inch straight pipe. The results were the turbo whistle was all but gone and the boost that was gained without the muffler was lost.

3. The next step was I removed the eliminator pipe and the tail pipe section. I installed four inch pipe from the resinator back. The boost was again gained back and the sound quality improved.

4. Finally, I bought a walker (21471) muffler and replaced the resinator. Another three inch to four inch adapter had to also be purchased. The Walker is four inch in and out.

The results are it has an awesome sound. Not really loud until the pedal is mashed. The turbo boost is at the highest readings ever. Cruising down the highway at 70 MPH exhaust gas temperatures are about 100 degrees cooler. Performance was also gained.

This subject has been covered several times in the past. This is about as scientific as I could get as far as the results.

In a perfect world, we would all have a four inch stainless exhaust from the turbo back.

Moral of the story, do not waste your time on a piece of eliminator pipe.

What 4 inch tailpipe did you use, one already pre-made, or did you have a shop do it?

That's got to be one of the best evaluations of stock -vs- 4" to date. #ad
I've always preferred a 4" exhaust sound, with a small muffler, as compared to a 3" with no muffler. That 4" Bombing pipe has a deeper exhaust tone, lower frequency no doubt. Don't you love the turbo whistle in there? The diesel heads, of all flavors, know what that is when they hear it. #ad

Mine got a bit noisy in the right ear for me after the CAT fell off, so I routed it straight out the back. End of problem. #ad

Pusher, I had some four inch pipe and also some 45 degree elbows and made my own tail pipe.

There are a variety of places that sell tail pipes.

Napa sells the muffler plus reducer.

Someone help me out here but I think I read on a post that tests were conducted ruuning the four inch muffler and tail pipe while keeping the stock three inch from the turbo.

Exhaust temperatures dropped about 100 degrees.

At some point the three inch was replaced from the turbo to the muffler and no signifigant gains were noticed.

Again, a complete four inch system is the way to go. As a bare minumum, a four inch muffler and tail pipe.
