That's got to be one of the best evaluations of stock -vs- 4" to date.

I've always preferred a 4" exhaust sound, with a small muffler, as compared to a 3" with no muffler. That 4" Bombing pipe has a deeper exhaust tone, lower frequency no doubt. Don't you love the turbo whistle in there? The diesel heads, of all flavors, know what that is when they hear it.

Mine got a bit noisy in the right ear for me after the CAT fell off, so I routed it straight out the back. End of problem.
