A good friend has a monkey wards plow trac walking tractor rigged up with seats. He has taken it to swap meets and tractor shows and it sure saves a lot of stompin. My friends and. Have fallen in love with the idea and started building our own.

We already have an annual GTG in March so we decided to have a competitive build. The less money spent and less time in the build the better. This is a perfect opportunity to use up all those parts and scraps in the corners of the shop that were a bit too good to chuck.

First off is Roberts. It was a Chinese quad he got tired of repairing. The frame kept failing but the engine always ran good.

Next is Chad's farm king. This mower hasn't cut grass since '94 and has been moved place to place at least five times. It's useful life has been served so under the knife it went. The front axle has been removed, I just don't have a current pic yet.

Mine started life as a cub cadet 126 mower. The original engine was shot (shame) and it was donated just for this purpose. The tires are on loan from a "sponsor" and the engine and handle bars came from a $25 tiller.

This is a exercise in complete nonsense and we have treated it as such!

All these units have fulfilled their original purpose and now have been given a second lease on life. The round up will include a series of contests, of course one will be the SLED PULL!!!

Thats cool! Can't wait to see the sled pulls.

It's sure to be all smokin V belts and busted parts! I will make sure there is some video.

The events we have so far are:

The fastest to go 100 foot.

The slowest to go 100 foot

Obstacle course, timed of course

Barrel roll. (guide a barrel with the front of the machine 100 ft through a "goal"

And last of course will be the pull. I figure if we actually have a full pull it will be a miracle

Here's a video of the one that started it all. The engine on this machine is so old it has a magneto!

Well it seems Chad has been busy. He's got a cart finished and some new tires mounted. He's going to be a contender for sure.

Guys if your thinking it don't hold back, post it! Ideas and critiques are always welcome.

I set my purse down yesterday and got a cart made up. I believe this will help layout the rest of the items to be installed. I still have to mount my engine, make linkages and figure something out on the handle bars. At lest I got the hitch to where it requires minimum steering effort (just grab the grill and push ) I was very worried about that. I'll throw in a pic o the hitch. It's a hub of a 2500 with a piece of I beam bolted to it.

Chads close to getting his running and going for a test drive.

Robert has steering issues that have to be overcome. Mainly due to the thickness of his cranium.
