I'm looking to do a modest lift on my 06, 2500 (diesel). Never had a lifted truck before, but I like the look. Any thouhts?

Probably a 4" (think it works out to be 2" overall, i. e. 4 in front and 2 in rear. ) I've seen trucks with the name "Fabtech" and some with "Super-lift" , figured I'd ask everyones opinions as to which lift works best with the Dodge.

Tires are another issue. I'm not a monster or fat tire nut, I really like the look of a tall and thin tire. Any thoughts on size?

How does a lift affect performance?

(Note, I had a leveling kit imporperly installed that resulted in a death wobble and uneven wearing of tires)

I don't have a lift but a lot of people here will tell you to go with a KORE system. It is an awesome system, and that's what I will go to down the road. Just my $. 02

i just had a Kore Chase installed and went with 37x12. 5x17 goodyearwrangler mtr's. now i have to lift my youngest in cause he can't climb in anymore. the lift gave me about 2 & 1/2 inches and about 3" for the tires maybe. i'm 5'9 and i have a little step and pull on the steering wheel to get in, i uploaded a picture of a before shot so you can see the difference.

The Kore is a nice system, but kinda expensive for me. I'm not racing so I just went with a Skyjacker 5" system. It's actually a 4. 5 up front and a little less in back. It did sit dead level with the lift on. That system will let you run 37's if you want, might be a bit much for some people. A lot of people go with more of a leveling kit (about 2in in front) and go with 35's.

Check out this thread, there are some pic's and info in here

Just had a fab-tech 4. 5inch put on, and with 35x18's on my 06 and it is nicer looking and better a ride than my 04 with a sky jacker 4. 5 lift. I dont think you could do 37s with the fab-tech but it with 35s looks like they should be there vesus looking like your in between 35s and 37s with the sky-jacker

DMaddox,

I put the KORE chase suspension system on and it rocks!!!! The system made my truck into a 1 ton porsche. Well worth the greenbacks.

I would love to see some pics. That is the same combination I'm looking at. How does the ride compare to stock?

Warranty cancelled:"suspension modification"

A few months ago,my friend's '05 had it's front suspension warranty denied due to the KORE Chase system. Jack Powell Dodge in San Marcos,Ca condemned it for life. Ironically another local guy just bought a new '06 with a 4" lift installed by a local Dodge dealer(don't know which one). Apparently that dealer will accept responsibility for any future warranty claims. They probably afford to do this since they charge $6,000 more than the kit costs!
