Ok, I figured I'd try this. Others seemed to have good luck with it. Do any of you folks that have upgraded your stereo want to sell your factory CD and tape unit? My truck is a 98 so I would assume that anything from then to now would work. If so, let me know and we'll go from there. Thanks.

Dan

P. S. , if you have one for a '95 I may be able to find a new owner for that too. Ron, get your user name soon!!!:D

I will...

I have the 01 CD/Tape that was in for about 2 days. I just don't know what people have been selling them for. What have fellow TDR members been getting for these stereos?

I saw one go for $150. 00 a couple of weeks ago, not sure what year it was. Other than that most pricing is done personal measage style. I'm kinda wondering the same thing. Of course if I could get one for that price it'd be a done deal.

Dan

In March I paid $150. for one out of a 2002 (it was in that truck for a month). That included shipping. I thought that was a pretty good deal.

There's one on Ebay right now. Do a search under Dodge Ram. I think the last price was around $150. (and No, it's not mine)

AM/FM CD/Cass.

I've got an AM/FM/CD/Cass. out of my 01. The unit works perfectly, if someone is interested, please e-mail me and we can work something out. .

Will the newer receivers work in the OLD trucks like mine??

Just wondering if the connectors are the same or not...

I'd like a stock CD player to hold me over until I can afford a decent aftermarket one with MP3 capability... .

FM stereo is horrible... and I hate tapes... .

Matt, I'm not sure if the newer units will fit the '97 and older dash. The other problem you may run into is the plug. Someone should know. You could always look up the adapter numbers for an aftermarket stereo and see if they are the same. That would clear up the question on the wiring.

CD player

I have a 98. 5 AM/FM with cd player infinity system player. If interested e-mail me -- email address removed --

I'm sure glad I didn't go ahead and find a stock CD player. I took the three year old Pioneer casette receiver and 10 CD changer out of my travel trailer and then ordered a steering wheel remote from Pioneer ($50). I'm living large with the steering wheel remote!:D

I was gonna look into the aftermarket wiring plug issue, but I figured someone on here would know right off the top of their head.....

As far as I know... . the DIN 1. 5 size applies to the '94-present BR trucks (our beloved Rams), a whole slew of Jeeps, and MANY other Chryslers.....

Not to mention all of the countless GM's that use the DIN 1. 5. Obviously, the Delco stuff wouldn't plug into our DC stuff..... but the size of the hole in the dash is the same.
