Any 4" exhaust that's quieter than stock setup

South Bend OFE *confusion*

Hey to any of you guys out there who already have one of these. If you could would you tell me what kind you have and how you like it. Oh ya and where you got it at. I have been looking around but haven't found any on the people in the links section. Any help would be appreciated. Need something else to help stop the truck sometimes. More power=towing faster=stopping slower. Hoping to improve the stopping power of the truck. Thanks.

Is this for a HX-40, I had heard that PacBrake was working on a direct mount for the 40 but that was some time back. Anyone have any up to date news for us.

BD remote mount, I wouldn't own anything else. Got it from Piers a while back. Not sure if he still sells anything from BD or not.

Any pics of the remote mounted brake? I currently have a turbo-mounted BD brake on the truck and already have the 4" BD brake in hand ready to install along with a PDR40

Just wanted to get some ideas of where the unit is mounted. I am running Fast Coolers on the transmission and transfer case so I hope I don't have any space issues

I am getting ready to install a US-Gear Super Duty E-Brake in mine. I have not heard anything bad about them, nor anything good. In fact I have heard nothing about them:rolleyes:. My decision was based on independent research on the different manufactures. I am more comfortable with a unit that's not adding more weight to the turbo and the exhaust manifold. They already have a history of breaking, I did not want to add to that possibility.

The location for mine will be about 6" in front of the resonator. Pretty much right next to the 4x4 transfer case. Nobody has been specific on the location other than in a straight section of pipe BEFORE the muffler. Once I upgrade to a 4" exhaust over stock, I may move it forward to 6" past the downpipe, since there is a joint there whereas stock is bent, and I won't have to fight the transmission mounting/skid plate trying to get the section of pipe out without pulling the entire system apart.
