Want Exhaust Brake

I want to get an Exhaust Brake for my 93 ctd. Any suggestions on who I should get one from? Does anyone have a used one in good shape for sale?

For your Gen1 truck my personal opinion is either flavor will work just fine. After having three I really can't imagine being without one for the mountainous driving I do. I do remember seeing an earlier comparison on the ebrakes in the TDR mags somewhere between issue 40-46???



I had Jakes on my 02 and 04. I now have a BD on my 97. I had the 02 purchased and installed by the dealer when it came. I got the 04 off a forum classified and paid half price for one that had never been installed. I got the BD from a PM from a fellow TDR member for a decent price.



If price isn't a problem then buy new. If you are a bargain hunter like me, then frequent the classifieds and ebay until the right combo comes along.

i have a pacbrake i bought but have not installed yet. i did notice a missing bracket and called pacbrake (in canada). told the guy about the bracket and he said he would ship one to me. i told him i did not buy it new and he said so . i also checked the 60lb springs and bought them cheaper than i could find them through a vendor. spent 20 minutes on phone asking questions and got very good information. i really hope the system works half as good as the customer service
