a set of injectors(bellow a pretty good amount with the dd2 or 3's or bully dog's for that matter) will cure the smoke thing, but u better atend to your clutch cause that will go up in smoke also. !!:D

Bully dog 8's,they should give some smoke. Seriously,DD or bully dog 3's should give you plenty of off boost smoke, but like was mentioned your clutch wil be smoke too.

smoke

interestingly, III's alone (without "box"), don't smoke much. III's in my ETC auto give a puff before boost builds, then at about 20 # of boost smoke is gone, and i'm outa there. can also get a small puff with low boost at cruise if i nail it. :D

With DDII's and a timing box, I get a nice litle mini clould when i nail it, but it clears up with some boost. Now add in a fueling box and you can put an end to even the most determined tail-gater!!:D

Big injectors or a fueling box both give a little bit of smoke, but combine the two and look out!!!

I too am tempted by the mistress of smoke. But as a diesel mechanic, I know smoke is ONLY for looks. Unless your are VERY modified, the smoke is fuel which you could have burnt, or simply horsies galloping out the tail pipe (or stacks, as the case may be:D )

However it is a cyclic addiction.....

turn up fuel, get smoke, add air to rid smoke, more power results, but no smoke (looks like) no power, so add more fuel, etc. .

I feel the pain. Smoke like hell and just watch the EGT's

Would a fueling box be better?,if you are trying to get more smoke,no a set of DD3's will smoke much more than a fueling box,and stock injectors ever will. You want smoke get the DD3's,they are streetable, yet smoke when you want to. If you are buying both,do it once,go with the Edge Comp box,you may be able to upgrade your EZ ,gives you in cab adjustablity. I love my Comp.

I had a set of DDIII's installed in my otherwise stock truck. They recommended and installed a boost module to go with them. I don't see smoke except on cold mornings. Until I get the DTT transmission upgrade this is probably all it can take. The drive home that evening was all :D

Several good posts on how to get smoke & horsepower. If all you want is smoke, just get a exhaust cutout and install it in the cold air piping from the turbo. Run the cable to the dash and by pulling the handle you will open the turbo to the atmosphere and get... ... ... . instant smoke :D :D .
