HE DYNO???

Great post overfueled, I've never heard of a "he dyno" before and I don't see any proven facts... Can you clarify?

Steve

Have you ran them all at the track, and if so did your results reveal the same?

according to my dyno testing that wasn't the case. and it was on the same dyno within 1/2 hour of each other.

Hey Jim!

Thanks for the posting that graph. That kind of info is great to have around. I did have a question though. I noticed that second dyno run is listed as a 'Blue Box', so I was curious if this was the Blue Chip Blue Box (low end box, sort of like an EZ), their FMS Deluxe, or their FMS Premium. I've noticed that many refer to all three as the Blue Box and was hoping you could clarify that for me. Thanks!

it was without a timing box. i wish i would have tried it with a timing box. although at that hp level a timing box only gives about 15peak hp.

jim

below 1800 RPM a timing box "can" add up to 100 HP when using DD3's or larger injectors, but still only gives a 15-20HP boost in peak power regardless of injectors or the Fueling box it is piggybacked with.

People seem to forget that there is only so much you CAN do with a timing box. (pun intended)

Yes down low it probably does, but the original statement by overfueled did not say power for power the F. M. S. and a timing box wins on he dyno every time. It said "Power for power the F. M. S. wins on he dyno every time. " and CUMINNTSTRKN posted a dyno graph that says just the opposite. Now if Overfuled can post a dyno graph showing the opposite is true we will have a nice discussion on the subject.

Edited for my poor spelling.

overfueled, I assume you are just Trolling, but looking at your sig line, you should be running faster than that... with 570 HP.

I personally know a guy that Rips up the track with a DD Drag Comp... . with DD3's was about 13. 59, and now (with bigger injectors) he is at 13. 39 @ 99. 8 MPH with a PDR40... what gives?

Who is the "BEST"

Disel Freak I am fishing but what I would like to do is get all the major brands together to put them on one truck to see who comes out on top. Would you realy want to know? I will work on this. / OF

underfueled

i have already done that. but i guess it doesn't count becuase the outcome isn't what you wanted. back when i did this test i had nothing to do with edge or anyone else for that matter. i wanted to find the box that made the most hp, and that was the box i went with. by the way nowell and i have both found that with our trucks the drag comp give over 200rwhp. i think part of it is the twin turbos but never the less it's over 200rwhp.

I know that Briar Hopper has done something like this also. Don't rememebr the exact boxes used though. He went back to back on the dyno with 2 different boxes several times if I can remember right.

Maybe someone can do this at the up comming dyno event at May Madness.

these 2 statements contridict themselves. were you just trying to be a cool guy or just get your post count up.

I also remember that post by Tom(Briar Hopper). You guys are forgetting that Mark Chapple can program his TST Comp boxes as wicked as you want it to be. Just ask Briar Hopper. He out dynoed the blue chip premium by 20 h. p. The blue chip fuels to 63%, the TST comp normally fuels at 59. 9% duty cycle but the one Briar hopper had fueled at 65% at the time. I think he has it back to 60% now. So if you ask me, It's the most powerful fueling box there is bar none because of the fact you can have Mark Chapple program it to any duty cycle the user desires but you must sign a waiver first. Plus The TST fuels at maximum at half pound of boost versus the blue chips 10 pounds. If I'm drag racing, I want it to fuel hard as soon as possible. Hopefully Briar Hopper will chime in here to verify this. By the way, what box do you think I just bought?:D :D :D
