what size of wheel are those ? do they make a 16. 5 that will fit a 12. 50 x 16. 5 x35 " tire or is the the "super single wheels around any more ?

Any body know if there is the "super sngle wheels availible any more ?unless white spokes will fit a dually rear end ?

i post everything on both cummins forum and tdr to get the widest amout of experience and opions
You posted this on CF and I told you that you could not do it with a SRW rear end. I had 35 12. 50's on my first gen without a spacer between the wheel and drum, I am running a C&C dana 80. It is just wide enough to allow the tires not to hit the leafs. It was super close though. You would have to run a ridiculous spacer on yours to make it work. If you want to deal with the hassle of making the spacer(or buying one) go ahead but you should just find a C&C rear end. You'd probably have the same amount of money in one of those that you would in buying the crap to get your 37's to fit your SRW 80.

I'm not posting this thing up to show it off, I want to give you an idea of how far your tires are going to stick out and what it may look like. I am running a 2. 5in. spacer between the tires, I probably could have went with a 2 or maybe even 1. 5in. and made it work but I had a 2. 5 at the shop at the time.

As long as the center will fit, it should go on fine. I've run some that way before, especially on CC axles. They're usually heavier spec'd.

OZ Mi-spec measurement

Ok, so if you mount the OZ tire on a 6. 5" wide wheel (which is under the smallest suggested width of 8") it will be slightly narrow than this, but close. This first pic is an inflated tire on wheel, it's one of my spares. It's measuring close to 13. 75" wide on the sidewalls, on 16. 5x8 wheels. The second pic is of a 315x70x17 on my '03 dually, 17x6. 5 dually wheel, around 12 1/8in wide, with the third pic of the center spacing and 2. 5inch spacer. I have very little touching, except when really heavy loaded, with around 4k lbs ball weight (I know, I know:rolleyes:) on a rough road/off road. These tires measure just over 100" wide as dualled. If you dual the OZ tires, they're gonna be over 102, and touch regularly with 2. 5" spacers. A larger spacer or wheel is gonna be needed to be safe.

The sibling rivalry guys used to run huge duals out back. They had a truck at one time with 49" iroks. Check out their pics (they had to narrow axles and do frame work).

If you are trying to do this on a limited budget, why duals? For looks or for a reason? Seems to me, you could run the 2" spacers up front, and the SRW 80 rear and just run H1 take off tires AND wheels... thats a cheap way out for tires and wheels. You might need more than 2" up front with those deep backspaced H1 wheels though.

Just a though.

TF $1000. 00 for everything. I paid 500 just for the front adapters about 5 years ago( there steel not aluminum ) but you would have to pick it up and I don't know where your located.....

I have seen an SRW made into a dually with out changing the axel but i would not recommend doing it because all that was done was they installed the longer wheel studs, then put the dually wheels on, they stayed on the truck but the outer wheels were only held on by the studs and in no way supported by the hub. so while they looked ok I dont think they were to safe and under no reason put a lot weight on them, and they were only stock 16in wheels and tires.

If I may interject... . I've been running dually 37" Hummer tires on my custom '92 for quite sometime now after I converted my truck from a W-250 to a W-350 (rear axle, and front hub swap), and it's the best mod I've done to date. It looks great, and people who own new Dodge Rams take pics of my truck whenever I stop for fuel. No problems with CHP either. I haul boats for a living up and down California with it, and it's smooth and quiet. looks good but i could never get away with that, you would need the wide dually fenders for that here in PA.

You didn't mention what you were using for a spacer or wheel setup... . Any pics of that? Or a description?
