Want to install lock up convertor in 518

I have a 92 W-350 that I truck pull with. I want to install a lock up convertor and a Sfi flexplate just want to know if anyone has any information on this swap. Pulling season is around the corner so I want to do it shortly. Thanks in advance for any help.

I have not done this but I think you will have to get a later model transmission guts feathers and all. The plate on the back of the engine is different (thicker) which I believe is where the distance comes from to accomodate the longer converter. Surely someone who has done it will jump in with the facts.

Yes, I asked Dave Goerend about this and it requires a newer trans or allot of mods to the old one.
