What lights fit in the lower opening of my '95 front bumper? The opening measures 4". I've got the bumper off for paint and I'd sure like to add some lights where that grey plastic round hole scoop thing is in the opening of the bumper. I think the later models have something there from the factory. I can weld up brackets off the bumper mounts if necessary.

Any thoughts are much appreciated. - even rude ones... ...

Thanks in advance.

My 2001 did not have the factory foglights that are mounted in the openings you are referring to. I bought the kit from Dodge and added them. The kit is complete with new headlight switch, harness, relay, fuse, lights, new surrounds, and all hardware. My truck was wired at the headlight switch for the foglights so I was able to just plug in the new switch and connect the fogs to the harness that terminated under the radiator. If your truck does not have the pre-wire, the kit has everything you need to install the lights.

Good info

Thanks for the hot tip. I saw some wires behind the bumper and was wondering what they were for. I'll have to check them out to see if they are activated by the head light switch.

Regards, Ted

If you have an automatic with factory cooler, the cooler is in the way of mounting a factory fog on the driver side. There's not much room there at all, even for aftermarket lights IMO. I haven't actually tried to put anything there though.

I got mine from Geno's. I had to enlarge the grey plastic with a moto tool to get the lights to fit just right. Then they bolted in easy. The wire harness to the truck centerline was factory installed and I had to get a matching fog lamp switch and hookup harness from a junk yard.

Hows the quality of the lights? they look identical to ones you can get on amazon and everyone says the quality isn't OEM (and those are apparently not the greatest anywhow).

They seem fine to me but since I never had them before, I have nothing to compare to. They do fill in the empty spaces and make the front look better.

Is there improvement in lighting? that's my main concern as I do a lot of nighttime driving and the main headlights aren't great as we all know. I understand the purpose of these foglamps, but it is just one part of my plan to improve the lighting on my truck
