Heres a vid looking at the speedo while accelerating to 105mph. Add 7% for 285 tires, and looks like its going over 110, was still pulling. Only mod at the time was a Van Aaken.



Had to shrink it from 19meg down to 3. 5, so lost alot of quality, but you can still see...

Kev- it gets pretty close but I it won't quite get there. I've beleived from day 1 that I got a bad 24V. My EZ woke it up a lot and soon I'll be adding DDIIs to finish the job.



Cummins built it right, Dodge's software screwed it up and BOMBing it makes it all better. .

Gear ratio?



I can't get mine over 100mph either..... in the 1/4 mile that is But in all seriousness I can't do much over 100mph a) because of ratio, and b) my speedo is off due to tire size.

3. 54 for me too... BOMB it... Then again, EZ is only on setting #2. Or maybe due to the fact that I'm @ 4x4 with a lot more windage? It is kinda sorry actually as my hummer would do 90.

azcummins,there is something seroiusly wrong with your truck,it doesnt make any sense at all,that truck should go close to 120,easily. My 2000 can do 110 with 4. 10's@3200RPM. it says 104-105,but the 285 tires bring it to 110-112mph. If i wanted to stay at that speed,i might be able to squeeze another 4-5 mph out of it,but I dont go that fast for more than a few seconds,and not often.

I agree with you. At first I thought it was just the fact that my truck was new, but now I have nearly 70k miles on it and it doesn't do much better. My MPG went from 14 to 15. 5, but sometimes it drops to 12 for no good reason.



After having this truck, I'll never buy first generation anything again. I think you have to wait till the company gets the kinks out, which D/C never did on the '98. 5's. They just fixed it in the 99's and left us first generation 24v's out in the cold.



BOMBing is my solution to what D/C won't fix.

Az,have you had the low power reflash done? Did you get it dyno'd at all?. If it were mine,and couldnt do 100 with an EZ,i d be real concerned. My stock 96 auto 4x4 did 98 mph easy,it hit the governor at 2500,or it would have went faster too,it pulled hard at 90 mph,with only 180hp.
