Want XM and not Sirrius

No they cant afford anything to improve quality with Stern on a 500 million dollar payroll( thats right 1/2 a BILLION dollars) They cant buy anything else. It costs sirius 78. 00 to get your subscription, so it takes six months for them to break even on each subscriber, whereas it takes 17. 00 for XM. When the profits start after the first month of service they can afford such innovative products, like repeaters and portable units that stream Real Time satellite radio.

Xm drop out very rare

I have had my xm for about 3 years now in two different dodges. I only have drop outs when in rural setting with complete tree cover, on E/W stretch of interstate next to tall mountains and sitting in an underpass in traffic. I have listened to it from Nashville TN all the way to Seneterre Quebec. Sound quality has always been as good as CD quality.

Just get them both, that's what I did. Still can't find anything to listen to. XM has more standup comedy, sirrius has good 'hits' stations. I went back and forth, don't know what I'd call better. Sirrius does have commercials though, which really sucks. You can install a standalone module (cell phone sized) anywhere, modulate it on FM frequency, and plug it in between your antenna and head unit so you don't get local station interference. Then you can leave it on, watch it, and when something good comes on switch from whatever else your listing to.

I like the XM programing better, but XM lost Nascar, 2006 is the last of it. Sirius out bid XM for Nascar. I might have to chang now.

I have sirrus and my buddy has xm and his get static and stuff mine has been perfect except road with heavy tree cover but still get reception but slight studder If been all over with it from florida to michigan to missiouri to pennsylvania and even canada 160 miles north of sault ste. marie and no problems except when my antenna come off once do to it wasn't clean enough when I first put it on.
