Found a fix for 6L

Joe, I have a friend in Atlanta who is doing a 4BT into a CJ 7 If you would like to see some pictures. I'll russle some up. It's a pretty heavy motor and he's using a Doug Nash 5 pd with a Gear Vendor OD. Not a project for the mechanically inclined.

I have been pondering a diesel conversion for my Trooper after I finish my Motorhome conversion. Iwas thinking either Nissan or MTD for it. I live in Rhome Tx so I'm not far from you. I have a friend inDenton with a 2. 2 TD Isuzu Trooper and it's really slow. I would think you may want a little more more motor than that. It's the Black Topless Trooper with the Laura Croft Roll Cage. (I bent the cage for him). You may have seen it. He's started to cut the IFS off this wek for a straight axle setup.

Anyway. I'll pass along any info I come across for your project, if you'd like.

The NPR 4 cyl Isuzu motors are in the 750lb range so that may be a problem. Great motors but HEAVY!

Anyway, Keep us posted as you progress. I'm interested in keeping up with your project, as I'm right behind you.

Thanks Curtis, appreciate the moral support,I guess this project will have to go on the very back burner for now until I find a proper propulsion unit.

BTW: I haven't seen the trooper but would like too,I really like to see your motor home conversion, looked like a very interesting project from the pics... ... If I can help you out let me know!

Sure thing Joe. I took the day off from the Motorhome Project and spent it with the Bride. She was feeling a little left out.

You know how that goes.

Anyway, here's Roberts Trooper

It will be down for a few months, but we'll let you know when it's chuggin again.

The Motorhome is almost done. It's the little details that are going to take my time now. I was hoping to start it today, but maybe later this week. I'm pretty much past the point of needing help, but if you'd like to drop by someday and see how it fits, your welcome to come by. It's in Haltom City if you ever get down there. Shoot me a PM and we'll swap phone #'s

My diesel Trooper will be a next year thing too! As I have another Trooper ahead of it. I built a 2. 3L Turbo gas motor in my spare time for this other one, and am going to replace the 5 sp with an automatic 4 speed 4wd. I already have all that and the lockers and 5. 39 R&P gear set. So it won't take so long. The new paint will be the biggest hurdle. The S. O. decided it needed to be Yellow, so she can make the Hummer owners feel bad. You know, dust them on the trails and the street with less than $5,000 bucks in the whole thing. :p

Well, I gotta run. talk to you later!

Hey Uncle Joe,

1994 Toyota Camry Turbo 4 with transaxle (5spd) Runs like a top, filled with Amsoil.

Light as a feather, I think it is a 90 hp. turbo is el=perfecto and inj pump has less than 30k on it. Fire it and it runs!

All out of the car right now waiting for a home.

Talk to me... ... .

Unless my source was wrong, it bolts to the gas 4 or 5 spd from a rwd pickup.

I have an isuzu out of a Chevette too. (Gutless though)

Give me some time, Im trying to find out the skinny about it.

Oh,if you dont mind, where is this info from, any help will be apreciated!
