Wanted: Factory Air Box w/ filter minder.

LSS: I'm not enthused with my S&Bs filters life given I don't live in a dusty climate or do any gravel road blasting even with the dust boot on.

Filterminder is less then 20$ on Amazon, I replaced mine lately as it showed Full even with a new out of the box Filter.

The 4801, I'm under the hood often enough to not need to route it in cab.

The gasser has the same filter box assembly, makes the search way more easy
I got mine from eBay when I was in need a couple years ago.
04.5 and up has a 20% bigger intake opening to the filter box by the way, rest is identical.

Sorry I messed that up, it seems I had another vehicle in mind where that applies.

I was just looking up eBay for the Housings- this is insane what they call for, most of the time >300$. Only one around for 139$ but don't know if it is complete.

It's not a port anyways, just a hole drilled into the plastic.

Sorry I messed that up, it seems I had another vehicle in mind where that applies.

I was just about to drop some pictures, I was getting conflicting images. the diesel box is more square, the gas box is more rectangular with a different angle for the air inlet tube.

The lid is another 60$ or so.

That makes it even more insane what prices they call on eBay.

Aye, it is. I might have a box sourced in Spartanburg, SC for $50. Other marketplace listings with these trucks were asking for 250....

By "Box" I meant the assembly minus the inlet pipe lid included. My mistake.

I was partly right, the V10 has the same box. I think mine came out of a V10 then, but it's years ago and I forgot.

I had the same issue. It wasn’t the filter minder though, it was the new stock filter itself which didn’t have the air flow (cfms) capacity that my engine was attempting to draw through the filter. I had to get a high capacity air filter. Your engine needs more air than the stock filter is capable of, that’s a good thing except for the fact that you need to buy the new part .
