Wayne,

Molton Red Pearl (or something like that) replaced the Garnet Red this year (2004). I personally liked the Garnet Red better.

I kind of liked the Molten red that is in the 2004 brochure. I stopped by a dealer the past week and they had one on the lot. At first glance in the sun, I thought it was a custom paint. Looking at an angle it had multiple shades of purple. After seeing that, I took it off the colors to get for my truck.

The first '04 diesel that my dealer got in was Molten Red and I can't say that I was much impressed with it, my salesman really likes it. It is all a matter of personal taste, but I have never liked very many shades of red or blue for that matter.

I love that graphite color, but it would be so scratched up looking after about a year I'd be ******. But if you never take your truck offroad, then it's a great color! :D

KBennett: You are a BAD MAN! :D Nice picture, though... . :)

That truck of yours is resembles the '04 I drove and fell in love with... . except it wasn't a Sport... and it was two-tone with the lighter silver on the bottom... which I wasn't too crazy about... .

Matt

I do take my truck "offroad" a lot in the summer just to get my trailer in some out of the way places and scratches have not been a problem as long as I stay away from branches. The mud flaps are going on as soon as I figure out what kind I want to keep stuff off the side.

Matt, thanks for the compliment on the picture. The truck came as a standard SLT but bighammer and I swapped grilles. I need to get the Sport inserts to complete the look.

I've got the Molten red for 04's... . Looks like Black Cherry during the day, night time it does have a purple hue to it... . but as with all dark colors, it does look dirty often.

The main problem with looking at pics for these colors is that most pics don't do a few any justice at all... you have to see them in person. Timberline Green,(what I picked), Patriot Blue, and Almond. this probably doesn't help a bit, but try to find these in person before you choose... good luck, Michael. P. S. only 2 I like as much or better than the green is flame red and black... sports... that pic of Caseys' black 3500 is bad-a*%!!

Alantic Blue two tone is nice

I must admit that I did like the Timberline Green two tone better, but it is discontinued now and my new rig now matches my wifes 03 Durango SLT Plus with Atlantic Blue and silver paint.

She now wants me to wash here vehicle and wax to perfection like my rig. Please see readers rigs for photo's.

White is right :D

Doesn't show scratches, looks decent even when dusty or dirty.

Coolest inside during the summer here in Vegas.

Since you want a picture ;)

take out a blank sheet of paper. Yep, that is my Ram in the snow :D

I took Graphite because it was on the lot. Not sure, but I might've orderd it if I went that way. I like it but was worried at first that there would be too many and mine would blend in. (Had black last time as you can see) Neither one blends in anymore... .

I know, I know, I missed a spot during the wash:rolleyes:

I'm a big fan of white, graphite and bright silver... . all monotone.

Atlantic Blue is interesting as well... . I saw an Atlantic Blue Sport... . man that was a SWEET combo.

I don't think I can go for the taupe interior, though... gotta have the dark slate.

Matt

how come nobody likes the almond. I have a 04. 5 on order and I let my wife pick the color. She is a little more color coordinated than I am. I like the white also but my wife thinks its an institutional color. wanted to stay with a light color because they do not show scratches, water marks or road grime like the darker colors

I've got it!

Manky, dust/mud covered idiot blue (depending what in fashion for the season). Guaranteed never to be clean again. We likes it that way. Going to change my handle to pigpen.

Actually, I was going to get the molten red because I thought it would blend well with the dust/mud. But I could not order it in October because they were delaying all the molten red orders and I didn't want to get stuck with one of those nasty 600s (see what kind of flame war we can start here ) #@$%! alright, just kidding.

PS: apparently a couple of us are clueless on how to stick pictures in the forum and could use some words of wisdom from the learned, please and TIA.
