Hey fellas, I am wanting to possible start bombing. I have a PSD right now but am about to get my new truck in a few days. It is a 2000 2500 completely stock. It runs like now other right now. I am still in school, graduating in May. I am also getting married this summer so I am pretty short on cash. I was wondering what might be the cheapest way to get started but still have good results. I don't like to do things cheap but that is the way it is looking right now. Any help and advice from you guys would be great thanks.

Getting Started

DWalters, first, welcome!

If you read the discussions on this site you will find that most of us recommend putting a set of gauges on first, Boost, EGT and trans temp if an automatic.

Next I believe most would recommend one of the power boxes available, One of the more popular is the Edge EZ. It's EZ to instal !

There are no wire splices, or piercing of wires involved. This allows you to remove the box if you want to take the truck into a dealer for a possible warrantee issue.

Then a low restriction air filter, BHAF, or AMsoil seem to be popular. I've used both.

The fueling box will give a noticable increase in power, and maybe a slight increase in fuel mileage, but only if you don't use all the new power :D [good luck not using it!!]

So read a bunch of the posts, read the FAQ's, and give yourself an education.

You're about to become a Diesel Power Junkie!!

Enjoy!! Greg L

Just like he said above.

You may want to look into transmission upgrades before any engine mods. That way you don't have to buy it twice.
