Go ask your dealer's service mgr.

Nor all that we tell you will hold water. Go to your dealer and ask. Be nice and polite catch more bees with honey.

The problem is I can't trust the service writer. When I had it towed in he said he needed to ask some questions that "warnaty would ask". When I said I changed the oil at 7500 he freaked. He said I had to change it at 3750. He said"all of Texas must use the severe schedule" we disscussed this for awhile. I told him i wanted to see that info in print from dodge, he got quite. He them said"wait their was a special model with longer intervals and maybe my truck was one". Since them he has been jerking me around. He wouldnot even check the status on my truck. I am out of town with no transportation and need to know when it will be fixed. I have to be back home Sunday.

The severe sched. IS to change the oil at 7500 miles, so it does indeed sound like he's out to bend you over. Unless you are a california spec. truck, which I doubht since you show TX as your home. .

"Special model" - humm. . you think maybe that means "DIESEL"???? , g's where do they get these people.

I wonder, do they think that the engine oil lubes the lift pump? wow! thats a good one! Why the heck did oil changes even come up in talking with them about the lift pump?? Sounds like they are looking for ANY reason, however remote, to FU your warrente.

I know the grease monkeys that changed my oil at the dealer last time wrote that the next change was about 3500 miles away, but they only know where the oil and filter goes, and I just peal that sticker off and toss it away.

This is actually kind of a "pet peave" with me.

I usually change every 10K miles, which is not in the book anywhere, but its easyer for me to remember each time the ODO flips a 10K mile digit, than the other numbers. Besides, I feel that with the minimal amount of towing, I do, I am actually changeing about 5K miles early. Its also the same interval that VW recommends for oil changes in my TDI, so I only have to remember the one number!

I usually change the oil in my truck myself, but when it was due this time I was still recovering from a broken leg, and decided I didn't need the hassle.

I took 3 gallons of my favorite oil to the dealer and had them change it for me. I also took in some synth. oil for the diffs and transmission and had them do it at the same time, since it was there.

Sorry that I got off on a rant, when all I really wanted to say was, YES they don't know what they are up to, and they should be watched very carefully.

Drive ON!

I am afraid he is going to stick it to me if he can. Once he determined he could not scam me he took on a bad attitude. Originally when my wife called he said they would check it out and order parts if needed that day(Wed). The towtruck driver called at 2:30 pm to say he dropped it off. I called at 4:45 pm to see if parts would have to ordered. He said it had just been dropped off and logged in and it would be Thursday before anyone could check it out. He also said I had to change the fuel filter every 8k miles. When I told him my dealer in dfw changed the oil at 7500 he said they must not be "up on thier training". Is the cum 5/100 waranty no deduct? I have tried looking online but have been unable to find out for sure. I am supposed to be able to pick it up at 5:30 today.

There is no deduct. on the LP. Period. I don't remember what warranty covers it, but you ARE covered.

Do a TDR search for LP warranty issues and you'll have all the ammo you need when you go back.
