I have a warbling noise near the heater area(passenger side). I have read the TSB about the BLOCK HEATER HOSE CONNECTOR and my noise occurs when I turn the key to the start position. The TSB talks about 1500 RPM and mine makes noise when the engine is off. This noise is intermittent What say the experts. Thanks

Sounds that only you hear and describe are very tough to troubleshoot over internet.

A noise without engine running may be a chattering relay.

Hemi, No the block heater isn't plugged in. The engines about 55 deg. I don't know if the vent/heater door is trying to open or close. The knob is set at vent.

thanks, Dusky

Is it the fan motor or vent? Turn the climate control switch to the off position and see what it does. That will stop the fan and eliminate it as the problem one way or the other.

Alan, Turned off the climate control and the noise stopped. I will do a search and see what goes in fan motor problems. Every thing works fine except for the low warble noise. Thanks Dusky

Mine had a piece of pine straw drop down into it. It made a similar sound. If I remember right, there's three screws that hold the fan. It's accessible from the passenger side floor. Not hard to get to. Pull the three screws and it will drop right out.

It might be trash in the squirrel cage fan blower as mentioned above. I have to clean mine out about once a year due to tree leaves - recommend that you do this as the consequence of letting the debris build up and get into the case of the hvac box which then will block the drain. Believe me, it is easier to occasionally clean out the blower fan than trying to clean out the coil box.
