I have recently purchased a 2001 Automatic 2WD. I have checked the owners manual and fourd some info about warm up, but nothing about cool down time. I live in AZ at 5000' and experience temps from 15° to 100°. My drive home from town is about 15 miles with 2000' uphill route. How long should I allow for cool down to preserve the turbo? So far I don't do or plan to do any heavy towing.

get a pyrometer and shut er down after pre turbo temps get to 300 degrees. If no pyro I let mine settle down for 45 seconds to 1 minute then turn it off.

Take care
