I had the same problem. The recirc was stuck in the midway position and there was no air coming out of any vents. Took it in, the removed the dash and fixed it. The service tech told me they had to do it on other 06 trucks. Now it works great.

I must add that as an owner of a 04. 5 in Phoenix, I am very impressed with my AC. I have seen temperatures over 120 in Nevada and been happy. Parking in the shade helps a lot.

um, no offence, but this is not a 911 thread. It should and most likely will be moved.

I know your not happy about the AC, but keep it in the correct areas.

I don't see this as a 911 call but a heads-up to those looking to buy a new truck. I personally would like to have as much knowledge as possible, especially likes and dislikes of folks who already own one.

By the way my A/C works fine in the New Mexico desert also.

He had posted it in the 911 section initially as well as here, I combined the two threads because it wasn't appropriate for the the 911 section:

It should be limited to posts dealing with immediate truck problems - those where the truck is currently out of commission and the owner is in or near crisis.

I am glad to hear that some mega cab owner say there a/c works fine. I think a 55,000 msrp truck should have a functioning a/c unit. What I call functioning is to have a comparable a/c unit to a ford or a chevy of the same year. So don't compare your new mega cab to a 1978 ford pinto. Look I love dodge trucks that is why I own 3 of the new mega cabs. Please quit writing into the post that you can crack window because truck is sealed to tight. Look I can open all four window, rear window and open the sun roof. Still cant even cool down the leather seats to make it comfortable to drive until you have gone down the freeway fforabout 40 miles then it starts to work ok. All truck have been in for warranty and yes damper doors changed. I think the rest of the truck is great. But if you would go see what a ford or chevy a/c was like you would also have to agree the mega cab a/c is a joke.

I appreciate all who writes in to tell me how to work my a/c I have been a a/c contractor for 15 years residential commercial and industrial. So I think I know how things work. Like when a contractor tells us he needs a job done cheap. We use flex duct that restricts the air but is cheap. So oobviouslythat system wont work as well a real metal dductssystem I will eveventuallyhen I get the time jerk out my dash and maybe change the evevaporatornd the blower assembly to make the ssystemwork up to part. But I don't think the average guy thats spends this much for a truck should have to do this. I think Dr z or what the heck his name is should have engineered the a/c system to work in the vehicle. AT least as good as a ford or a chevy.

Whoa dude mellow out. If you would have put all your life's history into your first post some of those responses would not have been posted. I believe you might have an underperforming a/c system as friends here in S. Fla do not have the problems you have cooling your mega cab. Like at least a dozen posters said have another dealer check your system out.
