my anti brake and parking brake dash cluster lights are always coming on. sometimes at certain speeds and in certain gears they will go back off. is this a bad sensor or do i really have a brake problem of some kind? 93 250 4x4 5 speed.
If you want a cheap and quick fix, unplug the antilock connector behind the glovebox. This will prevent the antilock from ever coming on again, and your parking brake light will still work as it should when you use the parking brake.
Mine had a problem like that after I had the axle off for repairs. Pulled the sensor plug off the top of the differential and put some dilectric grease in. Hasn't happened since.
Can't miss it, only thing plugged into the big rectangular black box. Inside of your glovebox to the center and back of it, is a tab, one can bend down and the whole glovebox will swing out and down, just make sure you've emptied it beforehand.
I had the same problem. They would come on and stay on randomly. After reading some posts, I was informed of the control module behind the glovebox. I checked it and reset it a couple of times. It would stay off until I closed the glovebox. Come to find out the glovebox was pressing on the connection/module. A little wiggle of the module, and I have not had a problem since. Hope this helps.
