Calling all BOMBers...

A little history: When I finally started my project vehicle in early May, I discovered that the rack was stuck in the pump. I was able to shut down the runaway before any damage occured to my knowledge.

So the decision was made to go ahead and upgrade to a 913 pump. I contacted a seller that had been advertising pumps for some time and I specifically asked about the availability of the 913 pump.

In mid May, I purchased one "buy it now" and specified once again that I wanted a 913 in the Paypal.

We had some trouble communicating because his ad title was being flagged and bounced as SPAM by my ISP. I informed him of this fact and nothing changed. It seems that I had no trouble communicating with him but he could not communicate with me. In late June a pump arrived. The reason it took so long was because he said he was having trouble with his UPS account.

The pump was sitting inside a thin cardboard box with no plugs in the holes and a piece of newspaper for packaging. The box was pretty much crushed due to the weight of the pump and lack of packaging. There were holes where the tape had let loose that I could (and did) stick my arm in.

Upon inspection, the pump turned out to be a 911. I emailed him and he said all P7100 pumps are the same so just be happy.

I explained to him that there are differences and what they are and he agreed to swap the 911 for a 913. I shipped it back in early July.

I left a number of emails requesting a status of the pump and was finally answered with he was waiting for a set of stock delivery valves and leave me alone.

A few weeks later I emailed him and he said that his computer crashed and he lost my address.

It has been over a month since that last email and he has refused to answer emails or the phone or return my phone calls.

I have filed a case with Square Trade but it appears that he is refusing to deal with them either.

So the long and short is that it appears that I am out ~$485 but maybe by posting this, I can save someone else a bunch of grief.

Here is the last pump auction he had on Ebay:

Scot,

File a complaint with PayPal. I did, about a year ago, suppied all emails I had. Once PayPal had the info, I got my money back, case closed. eBay removed the seller I had delt with as I had filed a complaint with them as well. Sounds like you have a great case against him.

Good Luck.

Thanx for the heads up. Sorry to hear you're getting the shaft. :(

I've noticed that guy's injector pump auctions before and I had a really bad feeling about his offerings. For one thing, his fotos are 'bout as fuzzy as can be and still show an injector pump. The most striking thing tho' was how he represented the pumps he was selling, especially this:

These pumps are used so there is no warranty on them.

I hope you are able to get it resolved somehow. Stay on it and let everyone know in a followup.

If paypal won't get it resolved, I would also file a fraud complaint with the local authorityin his hometown. They will investigate and if its determined fraud and over 250. 00 they could procecute too.

gotta love the fuzzy picture

That really sucks

Thanks for posting this on here!

Good thing I read this because I had been contemplating getting one from him. Have one of his expired auctions on my "Watch List" as a matter of fact. I think the same darn picture too. Makes me wonder if he even has one at all. I was going to ask for a better picture and for the serial number but my instincts made me just drop the subject. Wheew!!! I'm sorry this happened to you, but am grateful that you posted this on here.

Thanks again for posting! Keep us updated!

You need to do the following:

1. File an official complaint with Ebay.

2. If you used PayPal, file a complaint with them.

3. If you paid with a credit card, call you credit card company and dispute the charges.

4. If the seller used the US Mail to send the package, contact your Postmaster and file a mail fraud complaint.

Don't wait for this guy to see the light... He will never make his auction good unless you press the right buttons... .

i bought one of his pumps! i got a 913. i waited a month for it too. when i got it the threads were half stripped off of the shaft where it gear goes on. i bench tested it and it worked, then put my dv's and gov kit in it along with a zero plate. pump is still running after a couple months. still lacking power though, i have no smoke!! dynoed 380/1200 and the power falls right off at 2100 rpm.

I tried to purchase a lift pump on EBAY using PAL. I made the payment and the guy did not reply to my email for almost 2 weeks and said he had been out of town and would send it as soon as he got home. This happend last year in December. Any way I waited and no pump came so I contacted EBAY and Pal. Their response was my complaint was over 30 since the auction and they could do nothing about it and I should contact the guy by phone but they would not give me his number. PAL and EBAY are one in the same I recieved an email about a class action suit against them but I did not pay any attention to it as I do not like dealing with lawyers.
