My 2005 2500 has a build date of 12/04 so the transmission ordered was a 2004 48re without the TV motor. The tech at Diesel specialists Inc. Did not notice that he had the wrong trany until he tried to install it. My transmission was the 2005 48 re with the TV motor So the advertised quick swap out has turned into my truck sitting at the shop for 7 days going on 8, waiting on another transmission to be built.

If you have a 2005 dodge that was built in 2004 make sure that the right transmission is ordered

It shouldn't take that long to pull the transmission and go through it. We took mine out and went through it in a day.

yes this may be true however the people building the transmission are in colorado and the people installing the transmission are in Las vegas. And with a weekend in the middle it equates to me not having my truck for too long. I miss it

TV Motor??

Had my transmission out last weekend. The TV motor just sits on top of the same shaft where the TV cable hooked to. Don't know why they couldn't just swap your TV motor onto the new transmission. Maybe there are other electronics that are different too.
