To those using Parker Pushlok hose/fittings:

Straight from Parker's hose info pages,

"Push-Lok is not recommended for any fuel"

I was about to purchase hose for both trucks, but not now!

Im not here to bash on business sales, but Im pretty sure this is whats being supplied in the "Walbro kits"... ... no names... .

I think they know their own hose better than we do... . There must be a good reason why their 800 series hose is recommended for almost everything except fuel. I dug around a little deeper and they do make a hose rated for fuel: 200 series used with 26 series Parkrimp fittings, not Push-lok. Ive already heard a few people having problems with the hose and fittings... ... maybe because there not made for fuel!

I'm running Jegs pushlok hose that is rated for "any fuel"... I hope that includes diesel... :-laf

Yet my fittings are still "weeping" somewhat... #@$%!

We've used the Parker and Swagelok brand pushlok type hose barbs at work for years and have never had any problems. Fuels have included #2, biodiesel, veggie oil, gasoline, E-85, coconut oil, etc. --Eric

Been running it for about 35,000 miles and haven't had a single issue with it. Not to mention the supply warehouse recommended it for my application.

I've seen push-loks used for many, many years with all kinds of fluids running through all kinds of hose materials of a lesser standard than the 800 series, no problems whatsoever. Def a CYA statement. The only time I have seen a 'weep' or leak at a fitting was when it was not installed correctly onto the hose. You must lubricate the hose/fitting when putting it together. If you don't lubricate it when assembling you chew up the inside of the hose, then it will leak/weep - guaranteed.

I used a little bearing grease. If I would have had WD40 or something similar I would have used it, spray white lithium would work fine too.
