I have an 02 QC 4x4. Im sure I remember when I bought the truck, that the 5 year 100k warrantee also included the drive train. But, the dealer says that is not the case. And, I cant find it in the manual either.

Can anyone tell me if that should have been part of the standard warrantee for 02 ?

Thanks

Thanks,

Thats probably correct. I've seen a lot of posts regarding auto transmissions and waiting to do certain bombs until the 100k is passed. But, maybe those were for different years of trucks.

I know for sure that the Cummins itself is under warranty till 100k. I'm not to sure about the rest of the drivetrain, but I thought it was. Don't hold me to that though. Anything with your engine, stick it to em!

In 02 they offered the 7yr/70,000 mi Warrenty on the drive train, but you could also do like I did and buy the extended warrenty that cover 7yr/100,000 mi bumper to bumper with $100 deductible.

The warranty changed sometime in '02. My truck was delivered in April '02 and only has the 5/100k warranty on the engine. The rest of the drivetrain is covered by the standard 3/36k. I'm not sure when the change was made.

I ordered my truck before the 2002s were being manufactured. It was one of the first 2002s off the assembly line - I took delivery on August 15, 2001. It had the standard 3/36 bumper-to-bumper warranty and the 5/100 on the Cummins engine.
