Well, in my case, I'd never had an aftermarket extended warranty, nor had I heard any stories of them being shakey. WG was about the only outfit I'd heard of and a little research indicated it was one of the more popular companies. This warranty we bought for the car, which we'd owned for only a few months. But I based the decsion on the use of the extended Chrysler warranty I had on the truck, which had saved me several hundred dollars on repairs (transferred over from the previous owner for only $50 - best $50 I'd spent on the truck up to that time).
So I figured it would probably pay for itself. Bad timing on my part.
Oh, well. Live and learn.
