I have a 2005 and found thr front seal going from the front drive shaft to the front diff leaking . I beleave it is under warranty the truck has 50,000 . Anyone tell me how to find out if it is warrantyed?

I think the 05's have the 7/70 warranty. My front pinion seal was also leaking, was covered on my 3/36 warranty. I think there is a TSB about the American Axle diffs, fill hole is too high. My dealer says "fingernail below the hole". The gear oil is synthetic and theoretically should be very stable, not oxidize, and keep its original color (almost clear). Mine was burnt brown in color. I'm guessing my oil level was indeed high and the oil was foamed up by the gears.

You are correct. It started with the 06's that DC decided to drop the 7/70 and leave us with only the 3/36 B2B and the diesel 5/100; no powertrain beyond the 3/36 unless you get the extended warranty.

You should not have any problem with the '05 being under warranty.
