Does anyone up in Michigan know if FCA has started anything on the rebuild of the WARREN assembly plant?? Will the 2020 3500 come from USA or Mexico?
Thank you for posting a reply.

Warren will continue to produce the old-style Ram 1500 through December as the 2019 1500 Classic. The new Ram HDs are scheduled to be shown at the Detroit auto show in January, then work will begin on Warren to build the new Ram HDs and the Jeep Wagoneer/Grand Wagoneer, which will use a variation of the new 1500's chassis. There's a rumor the next-gen Durango will leave the unibody Grand Cherokee platform and join the new body-on-frame Wagoneer platform. If it happens, that would make the Durango a true direct challenger to the Tahoe/Yukon and Expedition.

The 2019 Ram HDs will start later than normal - this fall instead of the usual July. That likely means an extended run of 2019s through the end of next calendar year, with the redesigned 2020 Ram HDs starting in Warren in the late summer or fall and being fully up to speed by January.

Looks like the chassis/cab trucks will still be made there.
"FCA’s Saltillo Truck Assembly Plant, where the Ram Heavy Duty is currently made, will be re-purposed to make commercial vehicles for global distribution, according to a company statement."

So it looks like Saltillo,MX has started retooling part of the plant to produce the next generation 2020 Ram 2500/3500. FCA's earnings report shows around 40,000 next generation 2020 Ram HD will be produced at Saltillo, till Warren comes on line. This was also the reason why Ram HD delivery's slowed during the second quarter. The plant actual was down for around 40 days for the retooling effort underway for the prototypes for testing and validation for Cummins,Roush,Ram engineering. So they still are planning a launch in 2019 for the next Ram HD's

I'd like to hear more about the involvement with Roush.

Could it be that you work there?? Nice. Good for you.
No....I work here

I did, however, take a 1986 Oldsmobile Cutlass there for Holley Performance in Bowling Green, KY for emissions testing. They were developing a TBI system for those older 5.0L 305 cu in engines that were originally carbureted.
